Program
The atmosphere in each classroom is warm, calm, and stimulating. A team of highly trained professional teachers designs and implements a daily program that meets the needs of each child in the group. When a child first enters CCW, we take special care to plan for a successful transition. The children are involved in activities which engage their intellects, emerging language and motor skills, and social emotional development. To assure the continuity of care and education of our children, we maintain a close relationship with schools and community agencies.

The program is administered by Co-Directors, Claudette Logan and Laura Luca, with over 50 years of combined experience.  Please contact either Claudette or Laura for information or to schedule a visit to the center.

Our Program consists of 7 classrooms:

Infant Room
A maximum of seven infants ranging in age from 8 weeks to 15 months old are lovingly cared for by two full time teachers and one teaching assistant. A separate supervised sleeping space allows for peaceful rest for our youngest children.

Toddler 1
Our youngest Toddlers ranging in age from 15 months to 2 years, in a group of no more than nine, and cared for by two full time teachers.

Toddler 2
Our elder Toddlers remain busy, engaged, and loved in a group of nine ranging in age from 2-2.9 years.  This group is cared for by two full time teachers.

Toddler/Preschool Mix
A maximum of five children ages 2.9 to 3 years are cared for by 1 full time teacher.

Preschool 1
A maximum of ten children, 3 years of age are cared for by one full time teacher.

Preschool 2
A group of ten children, four years in age are cared for by one full time teacher.

Pre K
This group has 10 children, five years in age, with one full time teacher.

Each classroom integrates free indoor play, time outdoors, snacktimes, lunch and naptimes into a dependable rhythm. The older children enjoy daily circle times and time for structured activities and projects.

Our hours of operation are:
Full Day
7:00am to 5:45pm

Half Day option for Toddler Room - Pre K
8:30am-11:30am
or 9:00am-12:00pm

Food
CCW serves a well-balanced, nutritious breakfast and hot lunch daily.  AM and PM snacks are also provided. Fresh fruit and fruit juices, whole milk and food generally low in sugar and fat are the rule. We are sensitive to food allergies and other dietary requirements.

Special Needs
CCW has always included children with special needs in our Center. When appropriate, referrals are made to early intervention programs, early childhood special education services, and clinics for evaluation. CCW often benefits from the consultation of professionals in meeting the needs of children. Identifying information regarding children with special needs is confidential.

CCW is fortunate to be a culturally diverse community. In an effort to also include families who cannot afford our services, we accept Employment and Training Vouchers from the Department of Early Education and Care.  Financial information concerning families is strictly confidential.
